Blessed

This morning we had Thump at our house.  My kids (actually we ALL) love hosting.  It always reminds me of just how blessed we are.....blessed to have our family and to have our family of God too!

November has the pleasure of being the month that hosts "Thanksgiving".  On facebook many people post daily in November about the things they are thankful for in their lives.   I often wonder how you get everything?  It reminds me of the thought "What if God took away tomorrow everything you didn't thank Him for today?"  I don't have enough time in the day to one by one thank God for all the mundane or seemingly unimportant things.  Toilet paper, zippers, buttons, fabric softener....the list is pretty significant.  Or rather pretty insignificantly significant. 

The serious stuff??  Jesus Christ, my husband, my children, my family, my church family, our home, our food, our health......Now that list IS significant, but equally endless.

I would love to see people thankful every single day, 365 days a year, because the truth is....we are a BLESSED people.  We have so much to be grateful for in this life.  Yes we have the world to contend with, yes we have wickedness and yes the devil is alive and working everyday.  BUT, everyday we have HOPE and every day we have LOVE and every day we have TRUTH and every day we have CONFIDENCE that we have ETERNAL LIFE.  There is much in this life that we can be thankful for and all the good always overshadows the bad.  We are a blessed people!
