Chelsea, Bo and Presley were all headed to Tennessee on Friday afternoon. They were not far from home at all, not even to the interstate when a car failed to yield, running a light and hitting their car. It would have been a head on collision, but Bo was fast thinking enough to almost get out of the man's way. The car hit the back of the car, right at Sweet Presley's side. Doors jammed and they were all scared to death....but were ALL fine!!! Thankfully Presley's momma and daddy bought a seriously nice car seat that did everything it needed to do in an accident!!
One part of the story I loved was the man who saw the accident from the other side of the road. He stopped and ran across the road to help them out of the car. Bo just man-handled his door to get out, and the man helped Chelsea out as Bo tried to open Presley's door. The man was telling them it would be OK, he said he had a little girl too and he knew they were scared. The mans little girl? She was named Presley too.
The man in the car behind them praised Bo's driving as he explained what happened to the police. He told Bo he did everything possible to get out of the way. I am sure he was grateful because they were all driving 60 miles an hour and he would likely have been part of that accident if it had ended differently!
The car is totaled. Bo and Chelsea both agreeing, "It's just a car." Both equally grateful to have all survived intact!! I am too. It sure is hard for a momma to be so far away!!
